Roisin McCarthy is the CEO of Verifoxx, a data verification startup that enables people and companies to share insights about their data without putting the data at risk, using privacy-enhancing technologies. Since 2021, Verifoxx has been a key security research partner to the U.K. government, working on technology that will make the U.K. more resilient to cyberattacks.
McCarthy previously managed multimillion-dollar brands for global firms like L’Oreal and Japan Tobacco International in the U.K., Switzerland,and South Africa before founding Verifoxx after recognizing that the need for privacy-preserving data sharing exists across sectors. She won TechUK’s Cyber Innovator Award in 2023 and is on the Innovate Finance Women in Fintech Powerlist 2023 in the senior leaders category. She is an alumna of the National University of Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a master’s degree in business studies.
