Kezia Purick

Member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly (Goyder) in the Australian Parliament (Independent)

Kezia Purick has been a member of Australia's Northern Territory Legislative Assembly since 2008, holding the rural seat of Goyder, and has been an Independent member since 2016.

From 2012 to June 2020, Purick was speaker and presiding officer of the Northern Territory Parliament. This role involved attendance at international conferences in London and Bangladesh and at executive meetings in Australia and in Malaysia, Kenya, Samoa, and London. Purick has been active in several key select committees over the past 12 years, focusing on youth suicide, animal welfare, and pregnancy welfare issues.

Previously, Purick was chief executive officer of a major minerals industry group for a period of 16 years.

Purick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia. She has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.

Purick lives in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia on a 10-acre small farm property with her family.
