James Arnold

James Arnold received his Bachelor of Science in social policy at Northwestern University (Illinois) in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from Stanford University in 1993. After six years’ experience with a U.S. law firm specializing in product liability, James joined Philip Morris Companies in New York in 2001. Since that time, he has worked in regulatory policy and government affairs at Philip Morris International’s headquarters in New York, its international Operations Center in Switzerland, as Head of Corporate Affairs in Australia, and most recently in its Asian regional headquarters in Hong Kong. His main focus for the last seven years has been to support governments establishing regulatory frameworks for novel, potentially safer alternatives to cigarettes for smokers.
