Steffy Thevar is a Maharashtra-based senior correspondent working for the Times of India. She writes mainly for health, urban infrastructure, and gender-related issues. She has completed her Master’s degree in mass communication and journalism from Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. She also writes on housing, human rights, and environment-related topics. Her primary forte and stronghold as a journalist is in data journalism. 

Thevar has worked in the financial capital of India, Mumbai, for over three years. In 2019, she shifted back to her hometown, Pune, and since then, she has been working in this city. While in Mumbai, she focused mainly on civic issues and urban planning; however, post the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, she has been focusing on health-related issues.
