Sanjay Kumar works at the National Desk of The Korea Herald, Korea’s No. 1 English newspaper in both online and offline markets, and frequently reports on diplomacy and foreign affairs. He is a certified legal translator and interpreter of English, Korean, and Hindi, with a master’s degree in interdisciplinary Korean studies and a doctorate in Asian philosophy.
Before joining The Korea Herald in 2021, Kumar worked for GS E&C and Daewoo E&C, leading engineering and construction companies, for five years as a global HR professional in Korea and India.
He has served as a member associated with social welfare and community affairs, which include the Seoul City Foreign Residents Council, the Foreigners’ Policy Committee under the Ministry of Justice and the Prime Minister of Korea, an advisory group under Korea’s justice ministry, and a foreign community leader at the Yongsan District Office.
