Jim is the Vice President for Environment, Health and Safety for Japan Tobacco International, a role he has held for 5 years and has been based in Switzerland for 9 years. He has worked in the tobacco industry for 22 years starting in manufacturing roles with Rothmans prior to the merger with British American Tobacco. He has broad experience in manufacturing having held roles in engineering, production, quality, and Health & Safety. A native of the United Kingdom he holds a Masters Degree in Fuel & Energy Engineering. Prior to joining the tobacco industry Jim worked for the nationalized coal industry in the UK in research and development and for a small engineering company that specialized in industrial material handling equipment.
