CEO of Imperial Brands
Alison Cooper is the chief executive of Imperial Brands and is leading the business through a transformative period in its history. Having successfully implemented the group’s tobacco strategy, she is now also focused on accelerating growth in next-generation products, which represent a substantial additive opportunity for Imperial Brands.
Cooper has been a member of the board since 2007 and, as chief executive, chairs the operating executive, the senior management steering group responsible for implementing group strategy and monitoring the detailed performance of all aspects of the business.
Prior to her appointment as chief executive in May 2010, Cooper made a substantial contribution to the company’s international expansion in a number of senior roles.
She joined the business in 1999, and her previous roles include group director of finance and planning, regional director of western Europe, corporate development director and chief operating officer.
